Atsinging teacher Ann Rodiger working with a singer in Greece on releasing the musculature around her larynx.

From ATsinging teacher Ann Rodiger: “Ann here. I'm working with another student in Athens to remind her to leave the musculature around the larnyx to stay easy and soft. This helps prevent squeezing of the throat during phonation so that the air can move easily over the vocal folds. The touch is extremely gentle and serves to bring sensory awareness to the area. Tip: Make sure you are leaving your throat and entire neck alone during singing. Allow the right thing to do itself by trusting you will be able to make a sound without "doing" something in your throat.”
